Games update 9/16/04 - Jason // @9:43AM

I was able to participate in the World of Warcraft stress test a little while ago. The game was alright, but I probably won't purchase it when it comes live. I also played Doom 3 for a bit, but it doesn't seem to be very interesting for multiplayer. So as far as online gaming, I am done for now since there is nothing good to play and school is starting again at the end of the month. It seems that good games are hard to find nowadays, online or not. If that's the case, what am I supposed to do for leisure?!? ><

The End 8/3/04 - Jason // @9:43AM

Well looks like i'm going to have a hell of a lot more free time, I have officially retired from Lineage 2. I've basically done everything that is possible to do in this game including hunt everywhere on the map, raid a boss, kill people at the arenas, and attend a siege. Even though I am going to miss the Chronicle 2 expansion, I think i'm going to pass because that's like 6 months from now and I am sick of the endless grinding wait. It was all fun, until all of the global hate started pouring including the farmers controversy. Hanging my character up at level 55 equipped with the best C grade gear, here is an attempt of me trying to make B gear with my hard earned adena and Forbidden Gateway hunting.

For those of you who are not familar with the game, equipment quality is classified into the following from worse to best (no grade, D, C, B, A, S). A items are nearly impossible to get and S grade are like GM items. I'll tell you this right now, trying to get anything from B and above is extremely time consuming and a pain in the ass to make. Most of the items that you make have either a 60% or 80% success to make. Both of these items had a 60% chance, yet the failure tells me I shouldn't gamble in the future.

MMORPG's is more addicting than crack 4/27/04 - Jason // @6:42PM

The level my character leaves Lineage 2 beta after playing for weeks. Let's see how long it takes to become a level 40 silver ranger when retail starts tonight.

To bring back a lost soul 10/19/03 - Jason // @2:28AM

The night sky gleams an eerie darkness.
Shadows of the unknown emit an aura of an enigma.
One who looks further may see hope.
One who finds himself under a joyful light.
Happiness whimsically glitters all over the air.
A new spirit has bestowed a glee.
Surrounded with nothing but happiness.
But gradually another presence is taking this away.
The bliss is being sapped, but for what?
All is seemed to be lost.
What a morbid destiny to be.
My life has been engulfed in despair.
Will the spirit ever beckon to this dimension?
Or will it be an eternal torment for me?
For I have been cursed eternally.

Bomberman Online 10/16/03 - Jason // @8:43 PM

For anybody who has ever played bomberman, you may be interested to know that you can play it on your PC for free against other people. Most of us who ever played this, know how hard it is to gather friends around just to play. This game is great, instead of beating the same old computer each time on the Nintendo/whatever version, you get to play real people. The only drawback is that there is a lot of the stuff is in Japanese, but most of the fun is all in the gameplay.

WC Strategy Article 10/10/03 - Jason // @9:09 PM

I wrote an article for any of you Warcraft people out there, specifically orc players who have problems countering the mass huntress cheese. I'm also guessing version 1.13 is comming out soon too, so I don't know if this will apply to that.

More gaming humor 10/5/03 - Jason // @4:44 PM

Every once in a while, sometimes you may find an idiot "Nazi-type" gamer trying to show pride. Usually those type of people don't really play, but rather act like retards who pisses everyone in the room (even teammates), and just won't shut up. Here is a game with my screwing around account in a 4v4 Warcraft 3 FT random team game. For those who actually play this game, it becomes icing on the cake to watch this replay considering that the start of the game becomes a 3v1. Also note that I am just toying with this guy’s head, so he thinks that I am misunderstanding the difference between what a Nazi and hippy are. It's funny how I can piss of these types of people by challenging his beliefs.

Viewer discretion is advised! There is a lot of foul language and slur being used that might offend people. Without further adieu, check out this chat log.

Funny eBay auction 9/26/03 - Jason // @6:36 PM

I like it when idiots plagiarize other people’s work. So will this guy be getting a new hard drive, or something else? Pay close attention to the picture in the ad ;)

Operation New Comp 9/2/03 - Jason // @1:20 PM

After months of systematically replacing old parts from my case *shrugs*, my new computer has been virtually completed. All I have to do now is wait for my Seagate hard drive to get here. People say Seagate is reliable, and has the quietest hard drives available in the market. After having to deal with the Western Digital and Maxtor BS, I just hope the new drive becomes true to it's quality and not die on me like my past drives. I also really hope I don't have to upgrade another piece of my computer for a long time, the system now is good enough to run today's games.

Warlords IV Heroes of Etheria 8/26/03 - Jason // @10:32AM

Ohh I remember playing Warlords III (or was it II, forget but got the cd somewhere) of this game, and that was many years ago I believe. I started playing the demo today, and the graphics are awfully like Heroes of Might and Magic IV. For those who are interested in playing the game but can't read German, just click on the "Download starten" link and it should open a box to let you download. The Warlords and the HOMM series existed right around the same era too, so both games had quite a long history in PC gaming. Warlords IV is expected to be released sometime in October. Well whoop de doo, right around the time I get to go back to school, should I decide to be engulfed with the game.

Simpsons 8/17/03 - Jason // @8:11PM

Hahah today's episode is funny cause it's "almost" like what i'm doing this quarter. It starts out with with Bart at school being assigned to do a 10 page paper, and gets 3 weeks to do it. He goes to the living room and goes, "time to start the paper". Then he gets distracted and ends up watching tv. He goes through the entire distracted phase for the entire 3 weeks. Ends up finishing the 10 page paper though, but get an F cause 6 of those pages are filled with advertisements. It's funny how sometimes we can reflect ourselves with characters on television, though it also shouldn't be something to be proud of.

Camera Shots 8/5/03 - Jason // @12:29PM

I got bored and decided to take some pictures with my camera. It takes pretty good pictures, except for shooting during the night outside. For some reason, the lights are all messed up, either that or there's something that I am not doing right.

Sofa - My neighbors threw it out just yesterday, thought it would be an interesting shot.

The Sky - I just thought this was cool =)

Surprising findings about video game players 7/07/03 - Jason // @2:25AM

Interesting read, this applies to people like me and perhaps you.

"It's not taking the place of studying; nor is it taking away from other activities," says researcher Steve Jones, chairman of communications department at the University of Illinois at Chicago. "What they seem to have done is incorporated gaming into a very multitask-oriented lifestyle."

In addition to the survey data, Jones drew his conclusion from observations he and fellow researchers made while watching students in college computer labs -- many of them writing papers, then taking short breaks to play computer games and send online messages to friends.

Often, he says, groups of students stop to watch the game.

"What we found is that it's a very social activity," Jones says.

Diablo II 1.10 Beta 7/05/03 - Jason // @3:56PM

They just released the new patch yesterday, I haven't played D2 in ages. I was playing the game maybe half the day starting a new character without any starter items. Part of the time I was playing solo until maybe around the end of Act I. Then I started to play with other people and got up all the way to Act IV, which I am now a level 25 barbarian. But i'll probably stop once I get War3 TFT since that'll be keeping me busy.

Web Forums 7/03/03 - Jason // @10:25PM

I did another project, this time its based more on this site. There are now forums where people can talk about whatever is up. Netscape doesn't seem to like the board though, and the graphics still need a little work. Besides that, everything else should work fine.

My film projects 6/28/03 - Jason // @3:00PM

Ok i'm back... Well I started a film project, which my main goal on this was to learn how to do video editing. You can watch the film I made and get more details here.

The end of an era 6/08/03 - Jason // @7:03PM

I'll be gone for a while, I might eventually come back, though I don't think anybody cares so all the better for me. Things happen in life for a reason but sometimes cruel things can't be avoided, but I wonder why they even happen and are they there for punishment for something done from a prior time in life?

Hard Drives 6/05/03 - Jason // @4:27PM

I am sick of hard drives, they are such crap! Everytime I buy one, it usually fails within the year. The last one I bought was the Western Digital 8MB cache just broke on me. This was a recently made new model too. I only had it for about half a year and it breaks down on me like a Pinto on the road. It's totally lame cause I lose all my data, have to return it, mail it back to the company with a RMA, and wait a few weeks before I can use this drive again so that I can use it for another 6 months before it breaks down again! I must of bought atleast 5 hard drives consisting of either Western Digital or Maxtor drives during my life of using computers, and none of them ever lasted very long. These are supposed to be the top brand companies too in this line of hardware. Right now i'm using my old Maxtor.

Finals 6/05/03 - Jason // @4:27PM

This weather is a curse, how can anybody study on nice days like these?
