This is just another variation of a tower rush, Dark Forest is probably the eaisest 3v3 maps to do it on.
Placement of where you put the towers is very important. The only way to counter this is to scout early around your town and to make sure there are no peons around. Otherwise, catapults or a large army will have to make do.
